Can't print past page 74....
I ordered the ebook, downloaded, printed. Nothing but a few random characters show up on pages after page 74. Also, did I miss something - thought I read that it was now 81 pages?
Thanks.

My book has 77 pages, but 74,75, and 76 are just pichers of different tiled things. Not sure why they're in there. So your book could properly end at page 74.
Do that page end with "Happy tiling" in your book?

On mine, there are 81 pages to the pdf, but the book page number at the end is 77. This is because the first numbered page of the book, page 1, the "Introduction" is page 5 of the pdf.
I'll email you a new copy Renee, see if it looks any different.

Easy to read but probably better suited for those who doing a shower; I am just doing a tub surround. Schluter site video/info equally informative. I'm sure I will be glad to have the eBook if/when I ever finish this tub surround, though!
Thanks.

Hi All,
In the introduction to the book (and in the description on the Kerdi Shower Book web site: http://www.kerdishowerbook.com ) I explain that the ebook is an adjunct to Tile Your World: John Bridge's New Tile Setting Book. I tried to make clear that it is expected that readers of The Kerdi Shower Book already understand the basics of shower building. Looks like I may not have quite succeeded.

Plugging the Kerdi-drain
I've been asked to elaborate on how you can use the Kerdi drain in a tile tub. Basically, you use a drain/overflow from a standard tub. You can buy these sets at Home Depot or anywhere plumbing parts are sold. You get the type of overflow that contains the lever type drain stopper.
When you flip the lever up the drain is closed. When you flip it down the drain opens. It works on a "barrel" the stops the tub overflow right where the drain comes into it. Instead of using the standard tub drain you use an adapter called a "bushing" to get from the 1-1/2 in. tub overflow/drain to the 2 in. Kerdi drain.
So you're not stopping the drain itself; you're stopping the flow of water in the tub overflow. Pretty simple, eh? I could draw a picture, but I don't have a scanner, and I'm not smart enough to use an online drawing program.

TYW book download?
Hi,
I just bought the Tile Your World book from the TYW store, and all went well. However, when I finished there was an arrow and text that read "Download your ebook!" but I couldn't find any buttons to make that happen.
I thought only the Kerdi book is available as download. Did I just read something incorrectly or should I also be able to download TYW after purchasing?
Thanks!

Different books, different purchase methods, John.
In the link to our store at the bottom of the page you should find two links for books, one for the ink on paper TYW book and a separate link below that for the Kerdi Shower eBook.
Have another peek in there and holler if you still have a problem.

Thanks CX. No, I get there are two different books and two different links to buy them...I already have the Kerdi book...but when I finished the purchase of the Tile Your World book the page I got said something along the lines of
Thanks for buying the book!
Download your ebook now!
<-------------------
But there was nothing to click.
I certainly didn't EXPECT there to be a download, but the page made it seem as though there was. I should have done a screenshot but it wouldn't let me get back to that page.
Oh well. Just checking.

I'm about to tackle my first shower surround, mom wants a tub with tile surround. I'd like to use Kerdi...am I right assuming the Kerdi shower book will touch on shower surrounds and not just focus on full Kerdi showers with tile floor etc? Looking for info like drywall to the tub transistion etc...I assume I'll get all the "normal" kerdi info I need in the book but does it cover surround info?
Thanks!
