I have cut half inch off of a 8x48. Some times they don't always break in your favor. here is a video of a sigma cutting a 6 footer down to next to nothing.

That's smaller than I thought it would cut. Impressive.

I love installing plank tile and have since they got popular here in the Tampa and Florida areas in 2008/2009ish.
You can start anywhere you want with a random pattern, Make easy cuts at doorways, Never have to
worry about snapping a square line.

Thing is you cant go into a project with a bowed/warped tile or wavy substrate and think it will be fun.
If plank tile are bowed I'm not doing it or the customer will know there going to be some irregularities.
Changing to a repetitive 1/3 pattern helps but it looks cheesy to me. And floor prep is a must to have a
flat floor to make the plank install go smooth.

The best planks to work with are marble planks

I was waiting for you to chime in on this one. Lol

The very few I do, I love. Maybe because it's out of the norm and it's a nice change of pace.
