White haze on grout after sealing

I sealed my grout lines last night after letting the grout dry for 3 days and in areas there is this white chalky look in some areas and the grout looks a lighter color. What did I do wrong when I sealed.

You let too much sealer on the grout and it dries to a haze. You may need to use some Pine Sol and a brush to get off the excess. Then rinse, don't let it dwell too long as it may remove most of the Absorbed sealer.

Tammy,

I agree with Dave - it is excess sealer. Call the manufacturer to find out how you can remove it or use Dave's method.

Hi Tammy, Welcome!

I third the motion. Very common issue with over application of water based sealers.

I've never tried the Pine Sol. I always go straight to the manufacturer technical assistance and see what they recommend.
