Another Kerdi Shower, Bruce in NC

Hello all,
Been using this forum for a while, haven't posted much but read a lot.
Thanks for all the good advice.

I have a new shower install going over a concrete slab, planning on using Kerdi, used it last time worked well. Shower is going to be 3'x6', with a bench. I already have it dry walled, will do a mud base. Using Kerdi Adapter to clamping drain.

A few questions, I'll number as usually requested.

1. got tile from "The Tile Shop" in Raleigh nc. Tile is MAINZU Ceramica. Looks like the date/lot numbers are different, how can you decipher them?
Example: 0106181928F and 0611171054MA. They are shaded blue color so exact match may not matter.

2. We are putting penny rounds on the floor. Should I run them under the wall tiles, seams like it would be easier then trimming them down.

3. What is the best grout to use seeing I want matching silicone caulk for the corners. Grout lines will be 1/8 or larger so I will use sanded.

4. Should I caulk all the corners, floor to wall and wall transitions.

I'm sure I'll have more questions.

I'll add pictures of tile, when I can, still have the paper clip X'ed out. Not enough post.

Thanks,
Bruce

1. Might be mmddyy followed by lot reference. You really want all the same dye lot. Shading might not be apparent until installed.

2. Yes, run them under wall tiles

3. Grout manufacturers like Laticrete, Mapei and TEC all make matching silicone

4. Yes

Thanks Lou, I'll give them a call...

I mentioned to them when I picked it up, but the guy said they both are blue, not the best answer, should have told him to take it back then.

Still not seeing a paper clip ICON, I'll look after this post too.

3. These guys can match any color grout you install. They also offer silicone in sanded and unsanded variations to match your grout. About $10 a tube....

Color-sil is there silicone line.
