Welcome to the forum, Nabeel.

I see that you have figured out how to edit your signature line. How about putting in a first name in there so that we always know what to call you?

Next, if you have a specific question, go ahead and start a thread. You'll get better service that way.

Looks like I missed this post. The username and password are printed in the introduction to the book.

knowledge

so if i get my master bathroom gutted, with my NO knowledge of shower building, drywalling, tiling, plumbing... can i,,, with your book John Bridge's New Tile Setting Book and The Kerdi Shower Book ... put together the bath that i want? im not asking for much, i just want it to look like a bathroom in one of those hotel suites.... with a walk in tiled shower and a nice glass door..

looking at the first 7 pages of your ebook makes it sound promising and a well worth project., if not to save $ but just for the learning experience., i can see myself on this website asking for my help every day!

also., no bonus buy? both the book + ebook., not being greedy., just wondering.

Well, it's really up to you what you want to do and are capable of doing, Zee, but we've helped lots (hundreds?) of people do exactly what you describe and some of them have been absolute masterpieces. If you bring the right capabilities to the project, we can help you do one, too.

I think we've looked into all those various payment options for our store at one time or another and decided it simply wasn't worth the trouble or money, so we just try to keep it pretty simple. But DaveM, our bag man, will certainly look at what you suggest if he hasn't already. Thanks.

Oh, and no, no two-for-one discounts or any such on John's books. Sorry.

But do feel free to axe alla questions you want about your project.

John,
I bought the Kerdi e-book and have looked through it. The questions I have is when you have the over-lapped sections what is holding the Kerdi to the Kerdi? Secondly when you place the Kerdi into the thinset how hard should you press it in the thinset? I am totally a rookie and want to do a good job in my shower. Thanks in advance.

Welcome, same.

I see you have a project thread for your shower out there. Please post these specific questions on that thread. This one is for more general questions about obtaining the book and such.

We'll find you on your thread.

And please go to the UserCP above, find Edit Signature and enter a first name for us to use.

Inquiring Mind

Hello I am new to the forum but not to tile. I was wondering about the kerdi shower system that is all over the forum. I work at a large Tile shop in kansas city. And I have ripped out my fair share of other peoples leaky showers. Question 1.Do you put the kerdi system on top of your pre float.
2.how long has this product been on the market.
3.and do u glue your corners or what!.

Well thank u in advance for any feedback.

Hi DC,

Please make that post in the Advice Forum or the Pro Hangout. This thread has to do with the book itself.

Question Password protected pictures?

Is there any particular reason why the online supplement pictures of the kerdi shower book is password protected? If I'm refering to something there(posting a link to a picture for example), is it forbidden to reveal the username/password publicly?

I think maybe the publisher doesn't want folks using those pictures without permission, Henry. That would be my guess, anyway.

I'm sure the publisher will be along in the morning to tell you hisownself, though.

Ok, that makes sense.

Specifically this picture I want to link to so it can be seen up close.

I don't know why you would want to do that, Henry, but the pictures are reserved for those who purchase the book. So, no.
