Leak Testing Kerdi Drain and Membrane?

I'll be installing a Kerdi drain and waterproofing membrane in our shower stall soon.

How long should I wait before I can fill the shower floor and let it sit to test for leaks?

Similar question:

How long should I let the shower mortar bed cure before I start walking on it, and/or before I install the kerdi? I realize the drain itself has to go in with the mud bed.

Thanks,

Anthony

Anthony,

I'm almost done tiling my shower. I used Kerdi and waited two days before leak testing.

One day on the mortar bed. Mix should be 3:1 around the drain and a little loose. This will make it easier to get the drain properly set. The rest of the bed is 5:1 mix, fairly dry. See the Liberry for good info on proper mixing of deck mud.

Check out my project on the forum.
