Forgot to thinset slab prior to deck mud

Okay, okay. I know I should have put thinset on the slab prior to the deck mud, but I had a brain lapse today. The question is how serious is this? I am using Kerdi for the shower install.

Might tap on it tomorrow with a broom handle. If it sounds solid and not hollow, you're probably good to go. The thinset is insurance...but lack of it isn't necessarily a deal-killer.

I've learned much on this site and from reading John's books, but maybe next time I should have TWO cups of coffee before I work.
