Quick Kerdi drain installation question

Hi everyone! First post here, I'll try to make it brief:

We gutted a shower alcove, hired a Schluter wizard to do the waterproofing work (Kerdi board/Kerdi shower tray with 4" Kerdi drain) and I'm taking over for tiling. I have some tiling experience, but this is my first shower floor. We're using 2"x2" square mosaic floor tiles.

I've done the dry-fit, and the drain grate fits SNUG up against the 8 tiles that surround it - no daylight/no room for a grout line around the drain grate. Should I be concerned about whatever water will most certainly get between the tile edges and the drain grate? I assumed I'd have to file the inside edges of the tiles to make space for a grout line, but our Schluter wizard said perfect, leave it as-is... just hoping for some verification on that (or a refutation?) I'll be using Schluter All Set for the tile work.

Instead of the drain, if you have access to a wet saw, you could certainly trim a sixteenth or so off of the tiles that abut the drain.

I meant diamond filing the inside edges of the 8 surrounding tiles. I've edited the original post to reflect that. Apologies.

The water getting through isn't an issue. The expansion of the tile is, considering there's no room there. Maybe just shave a bit off each tile as suggested and run with it.

That's the only application I'm aware of where the ceramic tile industry standards specifically allow the use of grout in joints between tile and dissimilar materials. You can cut down the tiles as suggested and grout the new joints, or you can probably get away with leaving it as is. See my warranty information below.
