Kneepad recommendations

I needed to buy new kneepads at least 3 years ago. Can you suggest a quality set of kneepads? I just do DIY stuff, but I want good quality. Any suggestions? Is it possible to get good quality for under $50 or so? If not, I could be persuaded to spend more if you twist my arm. Thank you!

I have a pair of these and they are really excellent. Super comfortable, easy to put on and off, highly recommend.

Proknees.
I have the AP16s. Wife got ‘em for me on Christmas, don’t and won’t go back to any other. Took some getting use to with the bulkiness and straps. Use ‘em allatime now, even for leisure

Another vote for Pro-knees. They take a little getting used to, and you'll learn after a time or two not to catch your fingers underneath them. But you can work a really long day with no knee pain.

And they are kinda pricey, I think around $300. But I promise you'll be glad you spent the money when you're older.

These are about twice your budget but even for a weekend warrior you need to protect your knees. I used the full length proknees year ago, still have them but I don't do floors anymore maybe occasionally. These are very comfortable and not so heavy. I have had knee surgery and lucky they fixed my issue. I bought 6 pairs of these years ago and have given all except one pair away and everyone loves them.

Never have to adjust them, I see people always pulling them up and complaining about the back of their knees. These are comfy and won't dig in to the back of your knees.

Thank you for the responses. Now to decide what direction to go. I'm leaning toward the ProKnees if I can get them for around $100, but I have to figure out how to justify that much more than I was hoping to spend.

If you’re up for saving money, and won’t be moving around work areas at a fast past. Kneeling pads/Gardening soft pads are sweet, and very cheap $10 or less. I got some on the cheap from Lowe’s when they were swapping out their AWP branded goods.

Same here, I'd suggest the proknees. But for an alternative, you could look up Thrive workgear. I have their pants with built in kneepads, been using them for only a month now, but they're actually pretty good. The kneepads aren't as thick as the proknees, but they're still comfortable on the knees. I'm on the lighter side though, so can't really say how they'll do for you, but I like them as an alternative. The kneepads in the pants don't slip down either, which is sometimes a problem with regular kneepads.

I use my daughter's elbow pads that she used for bike riding. Those pads with the straps behind the knees are leg killers for me.

I may try these when I start laying down my flooring on my renovation project. I absolutely hate those pads with the straps around the back of the knees.

looks like I'm too late to help, but I would highly recommend Fento kneepads. If proknees don't work out for you, try them. I've had the same pair for about 3 years and they're still A1.
