What happened to you was evil. I have long been befuddled at how people have become so brainwashed into voting against their own self interest. And then for people to hate fellow workers for trying to do better for themselves and their families.
We as a nation could use a new era of activist unions. Real ball busters. A second wave of Flint sitdowns. It would also be nice to see the AFL-CIO calling sympathetic general strikes. One union goes to the picket line and gets hammered, shut down every job site and factory we can.

Jim, I'll bet you couldn't guess within the nearest billion dollars how much that little fiasco cost the taxpayers.

Naaa, Dan, misguided and very wrong to my thinking, but not evil. There was some stupid afoot, for sure, and a great deal of silliness, but evil? I've never even been quite sure what that is if it even exists.
The worst thing it was was unnecessary. Costly, both in dinero and human consequences, and completely unnecessary. As we pointed out shortly after the strike, "they fired the solution and kept all the problems."
My only regret is that we didn't fix anything.

Maybe worth celebrating the Mayday as others , not as a term/word used for distress .

Thanks, Goldstein, I do appreciate that.
Reminisced with a few of my old workmates on the phone as is usually the case. Tough to believe this was our 35th.

Why, thank you once again, Goldstein.
Hardly seems possible that it could be 37 years since that fateful day. And would I do it again even knowing the outcome? Yep, I surely would.
My only regret is that it didn't fix any of the problems we set out to remedy. Alas, no good deed goes unpunished.

Thanks, Raymond. Air Traffic Control is where the name CX came from. Long, long time ago, eh?

It was a total shock to me at the time and I wasn’t even remotely involved. Can’t imagine how it was for y’all.

Why, thank you once again, Goldstein. Seems you're the only non-participant who remembers, these days. And it was only 38 years ago.
