Just decided it’s 12% faster to keep tile wedges in the rinse bucket. They float on top so they’re easier to pick up than when in a pouch or box. Also saves time because you’re grabbing the sponge anyhow for every tile.

Maybe this is common practice but I discovered how to clean a grout sponge by tapping it on flat surface when its dry. All the sand building up in the sponge comes out. Totally refreshes the sponge.

I like it J.R. speaking of sponge tricks, I use mine to fill up the saw tray by sticking it in the tray and full blasting the nozzle into it, no splashing.

I like to measure and mark my usable scape pieces of shower membrane. I use to just roll then up and stick them in a tube, then when I would pull them out and oh that one looks big enough and it be a inch short or some weird shaped triangle.

I do the same thing. With membranes, I will often write how much I've used so far so I have an idea of what's left.

this house set up was so old school. Back deck 14 stairs, front deck 12, in through the garage 6 a landing and 7 more and once you were in the house, the master was the furthest away from any entrance so I definitely wasn't hauling water through the house and when it came time to flood I just grabbed some plumbing and ran it off the toilet line I had been getting water through out the job

A few scratch cutter tricks,
I have several Rubi cutters, Love my Rubi's.

several little Superior cutters.
Rubi's, Have you figured out what the scale on the far side of the measurement bar is? It is 1.41" longer than an 1" for 45 degree layout, measured from the wall to the vertices of two intersecting tiles you would use the far scale for this.

Left your tape on the shower bench after you walked downstairs to make your list of cuts, no problem. Rubi's have a 12" bar on the left and a 16" bar on the right. 28". You do the math.

Having trouble seeing scales obscured by cutter rails, add or subtract a whole number from your measurement and align the subtracted number to the corresponding number on the scale.

Anyone know remedies for cement burn? The hawk was rubbing on me as the day got later. A long sleeve would be a fine idea if it wasn’t summertime in CA.

If it were me, but it aint, I would wash it with a muriatic acid solution, rinse it, and put some neosporin on it. Might sting a bit but only till you rinse it. Need to get that portland out.

Right on!!! You guys are smart. Thank you, if only I could stop getting strawberries on my finger tips when doing veneer. At least those are my only problems, until I upgrade knee replacements when I get to 60 or so
