Interesting. Pics a bit blurry. I'm wondering if ALL-SET could really be for setting all. Would be an impressive product.

Even the unmod has the T after it so I think that means they are all ok for large format tile.

The T is for thixotropic, Jim. All the non-sag mortars have that designation now.

I thought thixotropic meant better flow so it covers better under big tiles. I see the T on a lot of lht mortars now.

Hmm. I thought thixotropic meant heavy jungle brush. That's how I been using it anyway. Oh well. Learn something new every day. 😃

It means...kinda...That it'll stay "thick" or less fluid like until / unless it is agitated. In our arena, stiff and non slump / sag unless we're troweling it, then it becomes more "fluid like" therefore easier to trowel out and will stay there when we're done combing it out. When we agitate it pushing our tiles in place...fluid like till we stop then it stops being fluid like and stays.

IOW, while it will move when you push it around, it will stay where you leave it. There are SLC's with that property, too, that you can form into a ramp if needed. Great if you need it.
