USG Curbless Shower Pan Systems
Hi, I am going to be starting a new shower project soon and I went to look for the USG shower system I used before and it seems USG is no longer making it? Does schluter or anyone else have a system where you can order a custom foam pan with a drain where you want it? I am doing a curbless shower that is approximately 42"x60".
Thanks

Welcome back, Justin.
You're correct, USG is no longer in the shower system game, that product line was recently acquired by someone else who may, or may not, bring it back to market under their name. I used one of USG's custom foam pans for my curbless shower project.
I think there's someone else doing custom foam pans but I can't remember who. Of course, I can't remember what I had for breakfast, either, so....
I'm sure someone else will be along shortly and offer actual help.

That would be Paul Luccia....

Being able to order one of those pans with a drawing on that order form was so convenient. I know kerdi makes them as well, any other good ones that are worth looking at?

Schluter does make foam pans, as do others, but I don't think Schluter will make you a custom pan like USG did.

I contacted Paul, no response. Have any of you used Trugard or KBRS? I might try schluter as well but the last time I looked, they were a more expensive option.
Edit-Nevermind, paul got back to me right away, just had to email him.

Paul’s site is builtwithfoam.com or
https://builtwithfoam.com/
You can upload drawings or use the website to get pricing.
Pretty sure you can upload step models or 3-D files too.

You have some details to go along with that teaser, Eric?

Unfortunately not in custom sizes and drain placements it appears.

Once some normality resumes in the world we will release the details. Hopefully the beginning of April!

Ahh. Yes, that does get tricky because the drain is the thinnest area and moving it off-center may not be doable depending on the size of the pan and location of the drain. Maybe he'll find something though.
