YOUR DOG'S RESOLUTIONS
I will have a torrid one-night stand with a street mutt.
I will try to understand that the cat is from Venus and I am from Mars.
I will no longer be beholden to the sound of the can opener.
I will circulate petition that Leg Humping be a juried competition in major dog shows.
l will call PETA and tell them what that surgical mask-wearing freak does to us when no one is around.
I will take time from busy schedule to stop and smell the behinds.
I will always scoot before licking.
I will grow opposable thumb; break into pantry; decide for MYSELF how much food is too much.
I will NOT chase the damned stick unless I see it LEAVE HIS HAND.

Story here is that folks finished this play area for their kids (Anchorage, Ak).
Next day look out the window in the morning and mom has the kids over at the park for a romp.

Me & Hanz
Well I`m gona try ta post something I`ve been try`n ta post for a while.
His name is Hanz & thats me the other guy. He left me in Aug @ 13 yrs .
He loved to ride when I`d bring one O my HD`s up to the house from the barn to idle whilst I got my coat& helmet he`d be waiting @ the front door wagging his tail . So we`d cruise around the hood for a bit so`s he could feel the wind in his face. Then I`d take off for a bit solo.
The sad part was the last time I saw him alive he was down by the barn with me & my girlfriend & I was in a hurry to go on a late afternoon estimate so I didn`t take the time to bring him aboard for a quik spin & as I`m taking off from the barn I look in my rear view & he chased me till one of my tenants stopped & picked him up. Then when I came home 2 hrs later ,,,,,,,,,,,Aw hell I`m not gona go into it but I miss him
And if the pic comes thru I`d like to say Thanks!!! to Jerry The Tile Guy he noticed a coment I made in another post that I still couldn`t figure out how to resize my pics so he offered his help , So Thanks Jerry!!!

Cool little dude Louis!
I got a little too ambitious on the walking thing Monday. We were staying at a state park with wonderful trails. Molly and I were walking and I was feeling good so I decided to go a bit farther that I had been. Bobby thinks we ended up doing 8+ miles. I was worn out. He showed up with the truck when I was about a mile from camp. I was happy to see him. This is what the Wogs looked liked afterward. She was a real trooper. Like the battery bunny, she kept going and going…..but when she finally got home and got to the back of the couch……

Here's my kids...
The blond is Balou, 2 yr, our latest kid, who showed up on our doostep in April.
A trip to the vet, advanced heartworm, enlarged heart, a bebe in him...
It took a few monthes to cure because of complications, but last week we got the all clear! Because of the steroids, he gained 25 pounds
Jake,7yr, part walker, just loves to run & has rutted several race tracks throughout the backyard. His knees are real bad. I had him that drug you mentioned Marge, was it derramax, it didn't help him much.
He's on Dasuquin now along with cosamine ds, there is improvement!
The vet said I should not let him run, though, that's his joy.
And my little girl, Sarah, 6 yr, part akita. Had her 6 monthes (got her at 4 mths) and knew something was wrong. The vet had to take x rays, cause he couldn't see anything wrong by examining her.
Both hips diplaced. Well, couldn't afford the new hips and opted for a procedure where they shaved off the part of bone that was rubbing. She was running within a month and now loves to chase the others.
One sad note, when we took Sarah in for her op, we jokingly asked the owner/vet if we would get a discount since we had bought our designer dogs from her.
She told us the best she would do is put her down & give us another. She wasn't joking.
We're so lucky to have rescued these kids, though I hope nobody else shows up as it's getting rather tight in here.
I can't imagine having as many as some of you have!
Thanx for sharing...
Oh yea, 3 gallons + of ppw

What great looking furballs!
And it's true, we want those pups to do all they want while they can! Shaka's new drug (Tramadol) has changed her immensely. She is taking walks with us now, albeit very slowly, but she wants to walk! She's sleeping through the night with a lot less pain and she has fallen for a younger man (the Schnauzer next door) and cheers him on as he chases cottontails past her nose. She's thoroughly enjoying her last hurrah!

And I had her three days and ended up in hospital...apendectemy....fun, fun, fun!

Linda, congrats on the new furball!! And an appendectomy is no excuse for lack of pitchers!
Sure hope you are doing well and back to 100% soon! That's a tough one for anyone over the age of ten!

Just had to share some recent pictures of our gang. Bailey has started curling up in the cat's bed. Here's a series showing him sitting in it, sprawled out, and then all three snoozing in the living room. Also, Bailey loves to sit in front of the gas fireplace in the sunroom. And finally, Toby crossing the "creek" in the water garden after our 3 inch snow last week.

Sandy, our sheltie, turns 15 next month. She's having all sorts of problems, the latest is her hind legs have quit working. Poor baby is deaf as a stone, can't walk, and just as sweet as ever. I think we've got a tough decision coming up.
