Schluter DILEX EKE profile - size question

Looking to install mosaic hex floor tiles that are 1/4" thick and then 5/16" thick subway tiles on the wall in a shower, which size DILEX EKE would you recommend for the given tile sizes listed above? I prefer the "U" portion for the 1/4" tile on the floor since these will be cut tiles.

I'm thinking of EKE U8/O7 or would the subway tile sit too far past the joint.

or

EKE U 9 / O 8 to fit the subway tile on top and I'll built-up the bottom with thin set to fit the hex tile floor tile.

Great forum...

Thanks,
Bill

Welcome, Bill.

I'd advise you get an actual measurement of your tile thicknesses if you've not already done so, add at least the industry-required 3/32" for thinset mortar thickness and select the Dilex with the measurements closest to those numbers.

You might wanna call the Mother Ship at 800-472-4588 and axe someone there, too. They can be pretty helpful at times. After you've decided upon a size, you might also wanna axe'em just where you might purchase same.

My opinion; worth price charged.
