I'd like to make a complaint about the customer service department at this forum. I wrote John, asking for another t-shirt ( %^^&*##*&$ goats- they'll eat anything. Never have one for a roommate!) and all I received was this lousy form letter:
Quote:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for your interest in our products at John Bridge Services. Your claim is not covered under our 30 day satisfaction guarantee (please see section IVX.I- farm animal exclusions), but additional items can be purchased through our exclusive online store. Please click here to see the fine products available- one is sure to fill your current need. As an added bonus, purchase just $35.00 in JB merchandise and receive a cuddly stuffed eagle to celebrate the upcoming holiday!
Sincerely yours,
Matt B.

I've decided to take this matter to the public. I will no longer be sending my friends here to get free t-shirts if this is the kind of service I get for my money!

Beware the stuffed eagle
We ordered one of those "cuddly stuffed Eagles". They do not mention that the %#&*effen thing is stuffed with things that it caught and ate!
The UPS man who delivered it had been driven out of his van by it 3 times. Needless to say his uniform was in shreds as were all the other packages in the van.
Once in the house it attacked a cuckoo clock which had the misfortune to activate at the precise moment the eagle escaped in the house.
Our neighbors no longer talk to us since their Koi pond is down to one fish. Large numbers of cats are missing as are several small dogs. We no longer get mail or newspaper deliveries. Fedex and UPS will not come within a 2 mile radius of the house.
Severeal blue haired ladies were found huddled together in some shrubbery at the local country club, their hairdo's badly frazzled and support hose in tatters. Outdoor dining is canceled for the duration. Caddies are demanding hazardous duty pay.
The H.S. Cheerleading team had to cancel outdoor practice. They were tossing one of the small freshmen in the air, she never came down.
FOR GOD'S SAKE DON'T ORDER ONE!

Uh, Jim,
Sharon is saying that we said we'll ship the eagle as a BONUS if people buy $35 worth of other junk-I-mean-stuff. Seems to me we may be in deep doo doo here. Maybe you'd better check with our legal eagle-I-mean-beagle.
Where's Rob? Where's Bud? JC? Where the hell is our mouth piece?

I never said I paid for the lunatic bird! It came in the form of a bonus for the merchandise I paid for. THAT merchandise was shredded in the UPS truck by the effen eagle. I do expect replacements.

If I am the mouthpiece to whom you refer, I've been feeding a bunch of mayors for some Mayor Exchange Day.
Imagine my suprise when I found out you can't really get a new mayor that easily...
Wonder how many of these 4x4s I'll need for an accent strip on my backsplash?

"Mayor Exchange Day"??
Tell me Cami, was former Washington, DC mayor Marion Barry in attendance?
One benefit of living in the Washington , DC metro area is knowing many people that have entertaining Marion Barry stories to tell.
Maybe you could find the pic of Hizzoner flipping the bird to a reporter in the archives of the Washington Post. It's a good 'un!

Bud, of course we take you seriously.

Except for the posts with smilies...
Rob, I'm glad to hear that there's at least one benefit to living in the metro DC area.

But Rob,
You're still outside the beltway, aren't you?

I am. Real estate is too expensive inside the Beltway.

Sonnie, if I did serve up that particular entree, you can bet it would be garnished nicely...

Hey, was my new mayor Laura Miller there??? If so, hope you went heavy on the garnish and lightly on the entree. She's a no-entree kinda gal.
