Ran out of Versabond - Can I use Laticrete 317

Putting Ditra on plywood and ran out of Versabond..

I only have a 37" x 28" piece left to do..which is inside a small closet..

I have some Laticrete 317 ..Can I use that to put down Ditra over plywood..

You will need admix...333 is the best Laticrete has for bonding to plywood. I've seen two gallon containers of 333 at Lowes.

Hi Rich.

You really should use a modified thin-set when going over plywood. Lat. 317 is un-modified. Now then, should you happen to have some Lat. 333 latex admix, then use that instead of water with the 317 and you are good to go. Otherwise get another bag of VersaBond. You'll likely need some later anyway.

P.S. I see faster typer Rob beat me to the finish line. Go with what he said too Rich.
