Or when he sees good work next to turd work he sees it as slightly better cuz its still just tile to him. I've met guys who don't really get what you're offering when it comes to nicer details. Hopefully he isn't that way.
I've been guilty many a time of grout as bullnose on spa dam top/overflow to pool in So Cal. It's how our company did them.

Travis, It looks like he had good intentions and on paper all the materials were good, but that soffit really screwed up that bull nose beak placement.

I blame that more on the design than anything. Yes, he could have trimmed the 1/4 round beak a bit to conform but mostly that's on whoever was making design decisions.

This was a flip house. Bonus, that it's all tile over vinyl so the door jams are all too high now.

At my favorite chevron convenience store. Need to go back to get pics of more accents. This sliver is set at an angle like a piece of cove lol. Overall, isn’t shabby for commercial; it’s just surprising to me because it’s such a fresh install from the end of 2019.

Alignment and Grout
These shower tiles were out of alignment, and the grout was not sealed properly. Poor work!
