Excellent layout on the dots shower Rod! You can't get a better wrap than that. Very nice!

Nice work Rod, layout and wraps are spot on. I bet having to cut that glass was a PITA, but in the end it was worth it. Good job...

Very nice, Chuck. Hard to go wrong with a well executed subway tub or shower IMO.

Upcountry Maui Project

Final pictures of a new home we did the tile work for in Haiku, Maui. The project was built for a local resident by one of Maui's better GC's.

Most of the work was done in the beginning of the year. Just went back to finish backsplashes and the fireplace.

All the main living space is on the second floor of the house. They went with steel beams and concrete slab on metal decking so they could have large areas without columns.

All our floor tile was installed over 3/4"-1" mud beds to allow us to match up with hardwood floors that had 3/4" ply glued down with full spread urethane glue and nailed to slab as a substrate.

The bathroom floors outside of shower/tubs were covered with Laticrete Hydrobarrier for use as an anti fracture membrane, the kitchen floor was Schluter Ditra and Custom Spidermat for the laundry floor.

All the showers are Durock walls with Hydroban waterproofing with Kerdi Drains.

We used a combination of Laticrete 4XLT, 220 Marble and Granite Mortar, 317, 333 additive, 253 Gold, Glass Tile Adhesive, Permacolor, Spectralock, 1500/1600 with 1776 grout admix, and Latisil to install and grout tile.

Here are pictures of the kitchen. Glass tile from Eden Home and Plumbing based in Ontario, Canada. Floor tile is 16" x 32 " porcelain from Graniti Fiandre. Other rooms to follow in additional post.

The majority of the tile and stone was purchased from Maui Marble and Granite.

Granite countertops installed by others. Absolute Black with a leathered finish.
