Finished the pebbles today. A bit tedious.
No idea how to rotate pics though...

John, good to hear from you again.
And the river rocks look awesome!
How much time you have in that floor already?

Jon that looks stellar. You got good guys. What metal are you using between the field and the inlay?

Hi Shawn, those are Questech pencil liners, made with resin. The darker finish to match the oil rubbed bronze plumbing trim.

Waiting on the slab guys for the curb top, niche sill, window sill, and counter tops. All that is left is the backsplash.
(the chandelier took 2 hours to put together)

FYI its location violates NEC 410.10(D): "No parts of cord-connected luminaires, chain-, cable-, or cord-suspended luminaires, lighting track, pendants, or ceiling-suspended (paddle) fans shall be located within a zone measured 900 mm (3 ft) horizontally and 2.5 m (8 ft) vertically from the top of the bathtub rim or shower stall threshold. This zone is all encompassing and includes the space directly over the tub or shower stall. . . ."

Yeah yeah yeah we know. I told the HO. She wanted it anyway. It is a 10 foot ceiling, so we are about 7 feet up. They can shorten the chain to sell the house.

The quoted section requires it to be 8 ft above the rim of the bathtub. So I don't think that will allow for compliance, even with 10 ft ceilings.

Think Wayne's right on that, Paul. You might wanna advise them to get a surface mount fixture rated for "damp locations" to have on hand come time to sell the house.
Nice bathroom like that, though, I don't see why they'd ever wanna live somewhere else.

I'll tell her to take that chandelier with her when she moves, then replace it with some LED button fixture.

I don't see what the big deal is, as long as they're not turned on.
Sometimes these codes go a little too far.

Yep, lotta times the codes go too far.
Not every code. But that code about fixtures over the tub was written 'cause real people got hurt. I'm not banging on any of you guys when I say this: on my jobs, I don't let customers overrule codes. Don't matter how much $$$$$ they got.

I did the tile on a project a few years back and the homeowner insisted that the gc get permits for everything as a safeguard to help make sure that work was proper and done according to code.
Well this came back to bite because the lights that she picked out were glass wall sconces and against code. So they put caps on the electrical boxes, got it inspected, and it's my understanding that her glass lights suddenly appeared after that.
-------
John M- I love the two pebbles cut into the middle of the tile.
