Thousands of 12x12 engineered quartz being thrown away

Hi guys, any idea why a stone store would be throwing away thousands of these, in all different colors? Are they samples?

Anyone have any creative ideas for using them? Can they be used outside for a patio or walkway?

There were also a lot of boxes of 4x4's.

My first thought is that they were samples of a discontinued line, that they have sold out the rest of there stock.just saw the "1000's of them. I will stick wi my first thought until some can give a better one

With a label affixed to them, they are undoubtedly samples. If a retailer switches fabricators, they may be dropping that brand and the samples are worthless to them.

Use them for pavers in a yard? They’d be pretty slippery when wet.

Great thought on flipping them over! I looked on the website and they still carry the names of the ones I grabbed. I was standing there looking at the dumpster and there were tons of pallets nearby of the same thing. I would never venture outside of taking what I've been permitted to take out of a dumpster, but two women stopped and were picking stuff from the pallets. A worker was leaving and stopped to talk to them and I overheard him tell her to take whatever they wanted, that they were all being thrown away. The stuff in the dumpster was a mismatch of tons of styles, but the pallets were all matching. I made two trips There are still more that match what I have, debating on if I return to grab more today.
