Scratches on tile

I have black herringbone tile that I really scratched up when removing the caulk at the seams. I tried using baking soda/water with no luck. I am realizing that I don't even know what the type of tile is. I think it may be marble, but am hoping someone here will be able to help me identify the type of tile I have, and any tips for removing the scratches. Pictures attached. Thank you

You would be better served calling a pro, that will require quite a bit of stock removal. You can try with some silicon carbide sandpaper but it will be extremely slow.
