I rarely enter this part of the forum, but I have an odd question. Short version. Customer does not like the tint of the stone that is already cut down and installed.

Any ideas as to how I could possibly stain the wall installation to give it a more beige tint? I know if I were to have set the stone with grey thin set, it would change the color of the stone. That is why I'm thinking it might be possible.

Either way stained or replaced, it's not coming out of my pocket. I'm just trying to help the designer and owner out.

Thanks for the help.

You might try some enhancer on a scrap and see how it looks.

Hi Travis

I see you're in my backyard!

There are dyes available, that when surface applied, will totally change the color of the stone.

Tenax is one such manufacturer. Here is a video of their Tepox V system (mostly technical, not actual demonstration).
