Brad, tickets for Yankee and Met games are almost gone for '08. The Mets have already sold 2,500,000 tickets and the Yankees probably even more. It's the last year in their respective stadiums.

Bring a lot of $$ if staying in the City.

Jim can put them up cheap though.

Brad, you can stay in lower Connecticut and commute into the City. Try the Norwalk area. Trains run morning and evening. I would heed what Richie says about staying in N.Y. City. Anything decent is going to cost you dearly.

You could stay across the river in Newark, but things get a little rough over there.

A little rough? You're outgunned with an AK-47.

Richie will sublet his cardboard box to you.

Cardboard box, huh? As long as Richie will leave us alley biscuits on our pillows.
We hadn't considered commuting, will look into it. Dad has followed the Yanks since elementary school. I became a fan by default. Been seein' tix on Ebay. Not cheap, but well worth the trip of a lifetime for dad. Thanks for the tip on the restaurant, Pat. We'll check it out. John when you say dearly, what are we talking about? Don't reckon there's a good clean Motel 6 in Manhattan?

I hear they'll let you rent a handgun at hotels in certain neighborhoods, for a price. Ammunition costs extra.

Cheers.

Well, take the case of the George Washington Bridge crossing into Jersey. It's been paid for a hundred times over, and there's still a toll. You can drive into the City for free, but you pay to get out.

Or is it the other way around?

Brad, just check out Travelocity for lodging in or around Manhattan.

This will run you about $600 a night for 4, not bad.

http://waldorfastoria.hilton.com/en/...CWAWA&key=HOME

This will run you even more, but the best there is.

Restaurants? don't know where to begin, 100s to choose from.

Or just pay ten bucks for a hot dog at the ball park, don't even ask what a beer cost.

Richie,

remember he said the trip is for 2 tile guys, a social worker, and a department store employee.
not 2 stock brokers, a lawyer and a accountant. lol

hotels.com is the cheapest when I used to go up and stay in the city.

I stayed at the "The Jolly Hotel Madison Towers" once for $200 and it was good.
your not going to find anything $90 a night fer sure in the city.

your better off staying outside the city and driving in.

You aren't planning on hanging around the Broadway & 23rd st. area are ya? As long as you aren't carrying Missouri tags! They didn't like my tags to much.
