Smudges on Black Absolute Granite

I have a honed piece of absolute black granite that has smudges that won't come out. It looks like the smudges were sealed in with the granite. The company I used has not responded back to me, so I am on my own. I heard that acidtone can be used on the spots and than reseal that area. I am fearful of applying anything on this top with out first hand knowlege from a speacilist.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ed

Ed,the mods here will want you to start your own thread, they may break this one off for you.
Anyway,if what you have is truly Black Absolute you would probably at the very least need to rehone it.A wiping of acetone i assume you mean, and resealing, maybe with an enhancer,or a blackening agent, won't do it i don't think.
If it is a resined slab which a lot are you may have other problems. Can you post a pic.

Ed,

AB is the toughest granite to work with. I'd hire a skilled pro to fix it.
