You'll likely need to remove the acrylic caulks more often than silicon. To eliminate all caulking, profiles work really well.

PS im not asking for caulking advice in the shower, but generally speaking around the house etc...

What is profiles?

Profiles are typically metal and go around edge of tile to provide a clean finish with no grout or caulking.

Schluter makes a wide variety. I believe this is Schluter Jolly in buffed aluminum

There are literally hundreds of sizes, shapes, colors, materials available. They come in 2.5M lengths, so take that into consideration on what you may need, especially if you don't want a seam in a long section.

Thanks Jim. I used that in my shower and love it. My post about the best caulking was moreso to ask around toilets and around the house. I donít like silicone and would love to find an alternative thatís easier to remove when necessary

Around a toilet, use Loctite's Polyseamseal.
