I would imagine that with rides like that...the wheels would be replaced after one or two of those.

When I was a kid skateboards had wide, small diameter clay wheels, and hitting a pebble would prematurely end your roll within 2 or 3 feet. Well, a pebble would end the boards roll in 2 or 3 feet. If you were lucky you were rolling no faster than you could run. No helmets, no pads. Amazing we survived some of the stuff we did as kids.
No idea what SB wheels are made of today, likely some kind of urethane. Pebbles still probably apply the brakes.

Skateboard wheels are very technical these days. They have a variety of sizes and hardness that determine speed and grip. I am guessing those are pretty hard wheels to break free like that. He has amazing skill.
At age 62 I still skateboard and have skateboarded since I was 12 years old.
This is me last summer. Nothing compared to that guy but he isn't 62 years old either!

You just a spring chicken, Kirk. And I see you got no gloves that make sparks, neither.

Is there a company that makes those gloves or do they make them themselves? I wouldn't think there's much of a market for them. Not that I'm looking for a pair.
Kirk, you need to toughen up, way too much padding.

CX, as I said, I am not nearly as cool as that guy. The sparks I see are in my head when I fall. The pads are to protect the cement, Davy. Don't want to crack the cement when I land on it...
