does anyone use a tile wholesaler
I currently use Prosource for my tile and epoxy grout, and they just can't seem to get my orders right.
I've been using them for 10+ years and lately they are getting everything wrong.
Won't give an ETA until product has already arrived
Wrong size containers of grout
Shipped to wrong location (sometimes the same order is in 2 places)
I could go on but whats the point.
I'm wondering if anyone else uses a similar company for wholesale tile.
I generally pick up my tile at a distribution center, all I need them for is to order the tile and process the charge. I tried showrooms abut they want to sell me the tile at retail, just to swipe a card.
Are there any other companies that offer this type of service to contractors?
All I use is quarry tile and Epoxy (Restaurant work)

Then you should set up an account at Dal or AO. I never bought anything from ProSource as hard as they tried.

Years ago...
I was told by Daltile that they can't do an account with me or contractors due to contractual agreements with the independent showrooms.
Has this changed?

Dal Tile treats a lot of folks around here as though they don't need customers. Try, try again and you'll succeed.

Woodie,
If you are a real tile professional with all the credentials, they will set you up. Not sure what you need in WI, plus the requirements vary with each distributor.
Here in MI, used to be where distributors would only sell to legitimate tile contractors and retail stores. Now, some will sell to just about anyone and once the word gets around, the pros try to avoid those distributors.
I considered Prosource almost like a retail place for handymen.

The Pro Source near me closed years ago. It was just what Jaz said it was.

You shouldnt have any issues with DAL or AO so long as you are using a Business Credit card or Business checking acct..

I had accounts with several suppliers around Houston including Dal, and I never ended up using Dal a lot. They were just too rude to contractors and to the folks that were sent into their showrooms by contractors. I just didn't need that.

To Daltile's defense.....My distribution center #216 is GREAT. Myrtle Beach dc is great, Chas. SC another great one, Ashville NC great as well...I've never encountered rude or obtuse behavior when Ive been to them. The guy here in Cola. SC really goes above and beyond for me. The guy before him was the same way.

My Dal sounds very similar to what John experienced. Just too rude.
