Subway Tile Inside Corner Layout

Hi,

In have a question on the proper layout when using "traditional" 3x6 subway tiles with radius cove trim pieces. Basically, do the radius trim tiles alternate short/long, or do they just stack, creating a long grout line just to one side or the other of the corner, best placed on the less visible wall? (mockup photos attached) I have been told both ways by different professionals. I have also seen both ways on "historic" (really just old) original tile work. Maybe that means it is a personal choice? I have searched the forum here, including the excellent "Installing subway tiles" tutorial and cannot find an answer to this particular question (Apologies if I missed, it please point me to it).

I like the look of the one on the left especially if your subways will be set in a brick-like pattern. Why not a brick like corner? The experts may say otherwise though.
