2X4 glazed ceramic tile Question

I am putting 2X4 glazed tile with a small glass tile border over kerdi. Can I use sanded Tec powergrout without scratching the tile? Also would a 1/4 X 1/4 X 1/4 notched trowel be an acceptable trowel size for this tile?

1- it will most likely scratch, but you can make a test board to be sure.

2- yes it would be my first choice

Thanks for the advice. I think I will stick with the unsanded grout. What is the widest grout line recommended for unsanded grout?

I've never scratched a commercially available tile with sanded grout. Handmade, art tile, or one-off deco's maybe will scratch. Make a test board and see for yourself.

If you can keep all joints to 1/8 or less, then have a bag of nonsanded on hand just in case.
