Screws holding up shower bar puncture kerdi

Hi all,

I was curious about what happens when you mount one of those vertical shower bars that spray heads mount to, using screws through a kerdi shower. Is there a good way to deal the hole in the waterproofing?

Thanks!
James

squeeze a healthy dose of silicone or kerdifix in the hole prior to inserting screw...

After drilling the holes, best to squirt some Kerdi-Fix, Sikaflex or pure silicone into the holes before screwing in the bar.

I'd also use a little compressed air to blow the trash out of the hole before filling it with silicone.
