Looking for a Schluter Kerdi or Wedi installer (Houston, Texas area)

I have a 32” by 60” tub/shower need to be demo and ret-tiled around the surrounding walls.

I am looking for a “Schluter Kerdi” or “Wedi” installer in Houston, Texas area.

Project thread for any discussion.

Tyi- This is "Lazarus" (Steve) on the TYW Forums. I am about 60 miles out of Houston in Beaumont and do Kerdi projects. I can probably help you, but I would need for you to get a plumber to pull the existing tub, relocate the 1.5 inch drain to a 2" drain, centrally located and probably pull the walls down to the studs.

At this point, I can set and Kerdi the walls, build a curb and pull a mud bed for the floor, Kerdi the floor and build and Kerdi the curb. I say this because some of it I am not equipped to do, owing to the distance travelled to Houston.

You purchase the tile and I provide receipts and everything else for your project.

Feel free to give me a call and we can discuss it further.....

See link in his post, Laz. I don't think it's a tub removal project.

Lazarus,

Thank you for willing to help me.
CX is correct. This is not a shower job; I am keeping the old cast iron tub, and I have a good plumber willing to help me on the plumbing work.

We have a problem now because I’ve just learned that Schluter cannot produce its backboard due to material shortage. It seems that it cannot get the material from China for the kerdi board.

I will keep your phone number.
