plywood subfloor

Hi ,
Glad to hear everyone got through Rita ok.
My carpenter has laid CD plywood as a subfloor for my tile installation. Having read about this in the "Liberry", I went out over the weekend to get different plywood, so that when he returns on Mon., he can replace. I could only find AC. Is this ok? They had no BC at all three places I went, so.....
Thankyou, Sallie

Hi Sallie,

I'm not a pro, but AC's what I've got down -- it'll do you fine. AC, BC or CC plugged and sanded are the okay grades. Put the purty side up and you'll be all set. Good call on replacing the CD.

Marcus

edit: The "A", "B", "C" things are like grades in high school. Can't go wrong with the A stuff, but it's overkill in some applications (like roof sheathing). Not in this case...

Hi Sallie, ac is fine. That's what I always use if I have to put extra ply down.
