Thanks Marge and the guys!
The Big Island is going to get the direct hit as a Cat 1 Hurricane.
On Maui we are expecting it to be a tropical storm.
Of course this week we have been working on a very time sensitive job, so I have barely had time to think about the storm
I'm sure we will loose power but will keep you updated as best I can.

Chatted with Dana. He says he is stocked up on food, water and gas.
Been following some of the webcams in Hilo. Getting dark for noon.

Watching the radar. Seems like it is hitting the mountains like a wall. Might slow her down. Not great for Hilo, but.....
Wiley and I were in Kauai and evacuated to Hawaii for Iniki. Good thing as our hotel washed away.

I hope we never get an Iniki again. I wasn't here then but 200 mph winds are no joke.
I'm not sure how well some of the plantation houses we live in can handle even 90 mph winds. Thankfully it shouldn't be that bad when it gets to Maui. Hope everyone on the Big Island (including LT's family and friends) stay safe.
Living on an island 2500 miles from the mainland we believe in being prepared and helping our neighbors-
Except for the idiot who stole an F-150 from the Red Cross on the Big Island today.

CX if it makes you feel any better we were at work today. And i don't have sand bags but Laticrete's plastic thinset bags may come in handy if there is flooding.
Just a light drizzle now, not expecting anything in Maui until early morning Hawaii time.

And I made sure I had drinking water on hand-

Directly on Hawaii now. If you look at top left you can see it is still clear by Isaac.
