Photo mining THIS WEBSITE
Every contractor and installer might want to go to the following link, and check every album they have on that site. Jim Garbe (Frankengueuze) just found several of his pics there, and that brought in a couple more people from here that found several of THEIR pics. Additionally, just in the shower album, I recognize several pics from in here, and that's just the shower album. This guy has obviously either been mining this site, or getting links to peoples' own websites, and mining pics there. Either way, you all want to check and make sure he hasn't taken any of yours:

The following note is posted prior to the photos...
The pictures displayed below are for visual purposes only. We do not take credit for installing any of these installations since we are only a retail store. These pictures have been gathered in order to display the how masterful tile installers are able to properly install tile in bathrooms and achieve a tremendous result.

I saw that note too, had to roll my eyes. Admitting you're a thief does not make you less of a thief.

Still doesn't make it right posting someone else's work without giving credit or atleast getting permission from the owner of the pics.

You would need to talk to the owners of the forum, once you upload your photos here they belong to them. They may have permission.
And it is a big deal, a very big deal. In my opinion posting photos of my work without my permission is the contractor's equivalent of plagiarism. It doesn't matter if you are a contractor or a retail store. It doesn't matter what they put above the photos, without proper attribution it is stealing, plain and simple. You are using my photos and photos of my work to boost your own company's performance without my permission. It is stealing, period.

If that's the case, then, that anything we put on the forum can be given to anyone for whatever use they deem appropriate without proper attribution, maybe we should stop posting pics of our work.
And yes, I'm fishing for a comment from one of the "bigwigs".

Well before you get to the disclaimer on the shower page....it states this on the "Design Inspiration" front page.
"In an effort to make the preparations you make in your home prior to coming into the store easier, we offer these design inspirations of completed jobs that we have done throughout our years in the industry. These jobs represent the combined vision of our qualified staff and individuals just like you, who are looking to add value and beauty to their homes."
Now this just aint right...I don't really care what the disclaimer says....This says it's their work when it's not.

I think you'll find that when you post your photos on websites such as ours they enter the public domain and you'd be hard pressed to prevail in any legal action against that other website's use of your photos.
I think it's unscrupulous of them to pirate such photos for their own business use, but if they can show that the photo was dedicated to the public domain by the owner I think they have a pretty free hand in copying it for their own purposes.
I'm sure there's legal precedent out there on the matter and I hope somebody can dig it up and post it here.
The ones Bill says belonged to Gueuze and were never posted on this site may be a different matter. Unless, of course, he has posted them to another public site and essentially committed them to the public domain.
And yes, the entire content of these forums is the property of JB&A

Isn't there a way to google any particular image to search for it elsewhere?
