I would agree with Michael; I would provide 1) drawing with the planned profiles 2) calculations demonstrating the load capacity of the beam and 3) installation instructions consisting of ensuring a clean mating surface; application of Locktite Pl3 adhesive and a screw/fastener schedule. I prefer a 18” spacing using 3” structural deck screws.

Feel free to PM me if you need me to run the calculations.

Most areas I’ve worked in the owner of the property can sign a affidavit accepting responsibility. If your a contractor, they may require a PE signature which seems overkill as @plainrider said.
