Tiling details around KBRS linear drain

Hi there. I have a KBRS tile basin with a linear drain installed that I am about to begin tiling. I have a question about getting the floor tile to sit flush with the top of the drain grate.

In the first picture I've attached, you can see that the floor of the shower pitches down a bit more aggressively about 1 inch from the edge of the drain body. For the tile, I'll be using a 2x2 hex mosaic which will be more like 1 inch wide next to the drain. What I'm worried about is that the 1 inch piece of tile will "sit down" in this low spot next to the drain. When it does that, the top of the tile sits about an 1/8th of an inch lower than the top of the drain grate.

My first question... should I be worried about the tile right next to the drain grate sitting low? Will it result in water pooling next to the drain? If so, how can I fill in the low spot next to the drain? I was thinking of just putting the thinset on a little thicker there, but am not sure if that's an acceptable solution. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

I’d fill that little depression ahead of time and allow it to harden before tiling to prevent the tiles from accidentally tilting down.
