it seems Daffy is just saying you have to make your mess on the balcony you are working on since the garage is so far away and the inside of condo is clean.

That's correct Brian. Maybe I'm dense, but what other meaning could there have been.

Update

I would like to thank John Corley and his guys Raoul and Armando for coming to my rescue this week. They all drove a very long way to work on my balcony and I appreciate it.

This past Tuesday, John and the guys showed up early, and spent about 30 to 45 minutes with me figuring out a way to use up the most of my leftover tiles in the most aesthetically pleasing way. Yes, math was involved. There wasn't enough tile for the diagonal inset I originally wanted but we were able to use all but 2 of my 12x12 tiles and all but 3 of my 18 x18 a most of the walnut mosaic.

Here are the pics:

Balcony After (2 angles)

I'm very happy with the outcome and the professional manner in which the job was done. It was great that it only took 2 days to complete. I will be passing John's name along to some family members who are having work done.

BTW, John, the super in my bldg (Alex) saw the balcony and loved it. He was glad he got some of your business cards. I'm sure he'll recommend you to anyone else in the bldg. who is looking for a tile installer.

Thanks again!

Deb

Hi Deb!

It was a pleasure working for you. And thank you for the kind words, not necessary, but much appreciated!
