Ready? Is there homework to do beforehand? I've never been.

When is check-in time wednesday afternoon?

Dress code? Work tools?

Looking forward to learning a lot more than can be covered in a 2-3 hour product demo night at a retail tile center.

And Elmo wants to meet Henry.

Hey Gueze, where and when is this seminar? Is it open to all mud-slingers?

PTk Course in Bethany Conn.

Gueuze,

Hey I thought you had that big job going and wouldn't have time to be on the forum, luckily you have taken a break...So you want the lowdown on the PTK Seminar, its gonna cost ya a couple bags a thinset.... 254...lol

No homework so your safe there... Check in time, you can get there anytime Wed but most probably won't be there till Wed night, nothing really to do Wed. cept hang out and tell tile stories, I had enough of those. Your accommodations are kinda like a ski lodge with out the slopes and you can walk to your classes from your lodge. Dress casual, your designer jeans will be fine cause you don't want to get any thinset on your dockers!

Lil bit of hands on but mostly you'll be sitting at your desk with your ears open and your eyes as well.... hopefully. Basically you will be going over all the normal stuff you would be on floors and issues, things you already have lots of knowlege on. You will be going over all of Laticrete's products in depth and Steve Rampino and the crew will dazzle you with they're knowledge.

So its mostly a sit and listen, though you do get to take a tour through the plant and that was my highlight to see all those bags and buckets and I was like a kid in a candy store. Just don't be trying to jump in the vat of thinset or?? Don't know what happens, no one tried!

Didn't get to meet Henry since he was in Italy at the time so that was a bummer but give him my best, personally from me, Jondon

Have a great time and take some warm clothing and interject as much as you can to make it interesting, or should I say more interesting. It was a good class and a thorough teaching and demo of Laticrete products. Your gonna dig the HQ Building, lot of marble and glass.

Talk to your laticrete rep about going.. If there is an opening you should be able to go, or PM Henry Rothberg, I am sure he'll get you hooked up if there are any openings.

These guys are top notch. We flew out for advanced epoxy training. Upon arrival Laticrete had our own limo driver and a sign with our name on it!!!

Excellent food, lodging, and staff. Everyone at Laticrete is passionate about their craft.

Enjoy your time!

goodies!

GueuzeMaster,

Glad to hear you are going, you need to take time out to smell the thinset, life is too short. Work will always be there for you, the Laticrete hospitality will be too but go grasshopper and get a taste of it. Make a name for yourself and push the staff members to the max. Besides I am sure Henry will make sure you get some goodies to bring back. If your that busy with work I will come up there and give ya a hand, I would like to learn from a MasterTiler! Enjoy!

I think all you hafta do is get aholt of your Laticrete rep, if there's an opening, they will get you in.

I attended the PTK in Indy a while back. Great experience.

got my hands full too

Actually Gueuze I got my hands full a marble, limestone & subway tile myself working at a friend's addition. There was so much work there I couldn't even take it all on. I took the neat stuff and someone else laid down the 1000 sq. ft. of stone...boring...though I am sure the team of guys made a good buck in the short time they were there. Good for them, I say share the wealth. So you got it under control, just wanted to offer help from one novice lobbyist, oops I mean tile hobbyist to anather, enjoy the PTK Seminar and again dress warm, I can't stress that enuf, no?
