Another curbless shower ?

My contractor wants me to do a handicapped shower. They want me to do a poured pan and they dont use kerdi. I dont know any dimensions yet since im going there tomorrow, but my question is can I do this pan without kerdi.

In other words can you do a curbless shower with the conventional pan method of pvc or cpe. I did a couple searches and everyone just says to do a kerdi.

Just do the kerdi unlesss they want to go to the trouble and expense of lowering the framing.

Hi Dave, check this out one I did with Kerdi. I would talk them in to using it.

If they dont want to use the kerdi how much lower does the framing need to be. I am figuring 5", does that sound right?

That would depend on the size of the area you want to slope.
