NEWBIE,With Grout ?

This was my first time doing ceramic tile. I love it so far. The grout color is so not what I picked out. I used polyblend sanded : Canvas. It dried MUCH lighter than the color guide. Is there anything I can do? I love the color when it is wet. Will the sealer cause the color to darken? Here are some pics(I hope they showup)

the only thing you can do is change the color of the grout with a Grout Stain .

Thank you very much for the advice. Do you think if I used the canvas color stain/sealer I would accomplish the color I am looking for. Sorry the pics are so small.

Can't tell from the pictures so let me ask, where are these tiles? Countertop, floor, shower, etc. ?

Don't think I've ever seen pictures that small before. How you do that?

These are on the floor in my kitchen. It is very high traffic. You have to go throught my kitchen to get to anywhere else in my house. I hope these pics are better. in the 1st they are dry , then in 2nd they are wet.

Aqua Mix makes a grout colorant, maybe you could try that.

Hi Debbie,

It looks to me like a surface problem. Try scrubbing one of the joints with 50-50 vinegar and water. Then rinse with clean water and allow it to dry. See what you've got.

I have one more? I notice this morning that some of the lines are cracking and the grout is coming up. Did I maybe not get the mixture right?
Here is the crazy thing in the small bucket I used to mix the grout what was left in the bottom is now dry and it looks the color I want.

I am having the exact same problem w/ polyblend. The tile man called grout. co. and they said our artesian well water was causing light grout. They said to wipe it down w/ 50-50 mix of linseed oil and mineral spirits. We did that and the grout looks darker but the oil shows prints. Now our tileman thinking it was our outside well water proceeded w/ same grout on remaining tile installation but used non-well inside faucet. Guess what, when it dried, it looks just like Newbies -very light-by the way our chosen grout color was summer wheat.

Hi Debbie-I happen to have color guide for poly grout and just noticed your canvas color is pretty light- Ours is summerwheat-not really light-tile man thinks we got bad batch of grout. ugu!!

John's suggestion should work, vinegar has a mild acid in it. You may try
a soft plastic bristle scrub brush as well.

Keeping my fingers crossed. I just cleaned a couple group line with the 50/50 mixture. We used inside faucet water. I am waiting to see what the cleaned joints look like.

Just wondering, when you grouted the tile just how much water did you use when cleaning it. Did you wring out you sponge as much as possible or was it leaving standing water behind as you cleaned?
