Don't know exactly what I did but my site is on the first page when I search for "princeton mn tile" and bam it's right at the top ??

I was in my control panel in goggle webmaster tools and I think I sent a sitemap and bot request then checked and there I was right at the top.

before I wasn't even in the first 10 pages - not sure what I did but it worked.

still learning - sometimes it makes my head hurt

Nice little snippet I found on the 'Net.

Get directions to your showroom/place of business with Google maps. Add this short form to your website, enter an address and a new window pops up with driving directions on a Google map. Enter no address and just a map of your showroom/place of business opens up.

1) Replace 350 5th Ave New York... with your business address, put your business name in the parentheses.

2) If you don't want the map to open in a new window, remove the target="_blank" from the form action line.

Code:
<form action="http://maps.google.com/maps" method="get" target="_blank">
   <label for="saddr">Enter your location</label>
   <input type="text" name="saddr" />
   <input type="hidden" name="daddr" value="350 5th Ave New York, NY 10018 (Empire State Building)" />
   <input type="submit" value="Get directions" />
</form>

A very nice web hosting/site builder. Prices are quite reasonable, and the interface is built to be very intuitive, making it easy for a complete novice to build a quality website.

Build a Web Site with SquareSpace

*** No, I am not affiliated in any way, just ran across this during my travels around the 'Net ***

Reload/refresh the page in your browser?

Did you change a local copy of the website and forget to upload it to where the site is published?

it refreshes the current web page, not the actual screen you are looking at.

Smile Wordpress works great too.

I went to Godaddy and bought a .com for 11.99 then went to Hostgator and subscribed to their hatchling service for $6.00 per month. In Hostgator you can download Wordpress. After you point your nameservers to your site url that is pretty much it. Everything else you can do from Wordpress. I use one of their templates and their Yost pluggin for seo. Total cache is a great plugin for speeding your site up. Im still learning but im getting calls from people seeing my site. It feels good to know how much money I'm saving by just doing it myself. See what you think hakescustomtile.com . I recently added a mobile version from dudamobile. It cost me 90 bucks but now it makes it more user friendly. The site still needs work but I actually have started to enjoy it.

What language are you planning to use. PHP is good for beginners. A lot of tutorials are available on the web and the best part it is free. Another is .ASP it is develop by Microsoft Corp. but I think you need to get their software to use it. Not that much tutorial also but good on developing site.
