5. Outdoor Projects

Bob (Montalvo) tiled this outdoor fountain which now sits proudly on his front porch.



Don't you just love it when a guy's tile matches his drain pipe .

Seriously, very nice job Bob . Read more about this project here and what all it took to make that fountain waterproof. No easy deal.

Here's another great outdoor project. Stacey Davis built this heated fish pond for some very lucky koi.

Day of the Dead Altar completed!

After 2 months of hard work by faculty and students we have completed our mosaic altar in time for our Day of the Dead celebration last night. I wanted to share some pictures. We covered the plywood frame with 1/4 inch cement board and painted the seams with Redgard.
Everyone was pleased with the results. The trailer moved easily using a trailer dolly. I imagine this weighs about 800 lbs.
