I'm doing enough qty to get .87/sf, full rolls, but every wholesaler in Seattle who carries it will sell for .99 if you can convince them you're getting it that cheap somewhere else. Florida Tile, Master Wholesale, Dal, etc. I'm sure it's similar around the country.
Nobody seems to give it away, but you have to ask for lower pricing and convice them you're a volume buyer. Never ask for a cut order if you want good pricing.

In Jax that roll costs around $525. I'd like to know where to get it for only $300 too.

I'm at 99cents/sq. ft. And that's through a flooring store, sure it's out there cheaper somewhere.

Dan, The guy at Shoreline is the one I asked. He said Kerdi or Ditra, same price $525. Maybe I should print these posts and and go see Louie at Safer to see if he'll beat these prices . Where you getting it for $300? I don't use either one just because of the price.

No one wants to buy my Ditra?

$300.00 is less than $1.00/sf!

Rich,

What's killing it will be the shipping charges. I got a pretty good deal on a roll of Ditra, but the shipping from Ohio was $53. You add that to your $300 and you're at $1.09 a foot. If a guy can go in and pick it up for 99 cents, then they are unlikely to pay the shipping charges.

advertguy2 - I got your email but the Depots around here only sell small rolls.

Brian - I will be shipping the smaller roll (150 s/f) to Alaska from Maryland by Parcal Post including insurance for $30.00.

Royce $525 is high even for retail. You're a tile contractor, you should be buying it from a true tile wholesaler. Most ceramic tile wholesalers also carry a little thinset, trowels, sponges, etc. Even the few who won't sell you tile will still sell you supplies. Ditra counts as supplies and you shouldn't be buying it retail.

I'm not buying it retail. Shoreline is a pretty good distributer down here in Florida. I go there to get Tec stuff all the time. Usually grey sturdiflex. Pallet price @ $9.25 a bag. If I can afford to get 8 pallets though they'll drop it to $7 something a bag. That's the best price I've found here in Jax. The other company that sells TEC is a touch higher. C- Cure is way more expensive and the people at Laufen here can be real pr**ks so I try to avoid them as much as possible. The other option is Dal tile but ever since the one guy got fired; the people they have up front just don't know as much.
I just off handedly asked the one guy at Shoreline who's been there forever and knows everything what the price for ditra and kerdi was and that's the price he said. It may have been a retail price that would get knocked down when I bought it but I'm not sure. Most places knock about 20% off for me. I'm just one guy and not buying massive amounts of stuff so I have a hard time getting a bigger knock off than that.
I think that's the price he qouted me about 6 months ago also. That may be why I didn't here anything about that bid I made then at the Naval station. That was 9 Kerdi showers!

Talked to that guy again at Shore line today. He told me $525 was the installers price for kerdi/ditra.Said if I could find it for $300 that was almost as low as they paid for it.Then he informed me they were phasing it out and wouldn't be selling it anymore because nobody ever bought it. Can't figure out why though.

You could buy it retail at HD for $100 less than Shoreline is trying to sell it.
