Tec Skillset Silicone Caulk vs Tec Accucolor Silicone Sealant

Anyone know if these products are the same thing?

I looked at the product info sheet for each product and they appear to the same, I just want to make sure. I ran out of the accucolor product I bought at a tile store (and they are out, too) so I found the Skillset product at Lowe's and want to ensure it is the exact same thing before buying it.

Thanks!

Anthony

Welcome, Anthony.

The only people who can actually tell you are those at TEC. And they likely won't.

The only difference I see is that the SkillSet product (their bottom line) comes in only three colors. I'm not personally familiar with either product.

If you find the color you want, you'll just hafta give it a try, seems like.

My opinion; worth price charged.

Thanks Cx. I sent them an email and I am awaiting a reply. Fortunately, the color I need (siverado) comes in both. Hopefully they reply soon. Of course the Accucolor version that can only be purchased at specialty stores is twice the price of the Skillset version at Lowes. I will share the response ocne it comes through.

Reply from TEC

Got an answer from TEC on my query:
"Yes these will be the same performance, but the difference will be in the dye lots. There will be variation in color from batch to batch. That variation will be within a specific tolerance, but if you need to continue in the same job, it's important to use material from the same batch/lot number to make sure it matches."
