Yes Leon, that is EXACTLY the type of misinformation used by people who want to incite easily influenced minds. Your YouTube is of our president in his early days as he was trying to become a senator. It has nothing to do with the ACA, as there is no provision for a single payer system to be implemented now or in the future. But your vid is very nice
Here is an excerp from the link you later provided...
Nancy says she wanted a single payer system but COMPROMISED. Do puppets know what compromise is? It is what happens when two opposing viewpoints meet in the middle.
Who cares what Obama and Pelosi wanted? They didn't get what they wanted. Neither did the republicans.

Ed, Leon it reminds me of when they just wanted to register guns. They would never take them away.

Marty, in the post above said Ed it was on their "AGENDA". I haven't seen anyone insist this was a single payer system. They're doing the same thing with healthcare that has been done with gun rights. Taking a little at a time hoping the sheep don't notice.
Who cares what they wanted? I do for one. These people believe that the end justifies the means and will lie , cheat and steal to get to their goal.
Edit to add:
Marty, who were they compromising with? It certainly wasn't with republicans in the house.

Let me point something out for you Leon. You seem to look at everything in red and blue, us and them, republicans and democrats....
They are all Americans.
So who were THEY compromising with? With enough other representatives to get it passed. Some republicans. Some democrats.
The biggest problem our congress has faced in the last 5 years is partisan strongholds not yielding a single vote. Because of this, nothing gets accomplished.
I'm not the only person taking notice of this trend, and also who is at the helm. I see compromise being offered by one camp, with a resounding "no" being answered by the other. I see a much larger agenda at play by the party of "no", and I have to ask myself, just in whose best interest are these (so called) representatives working for? It most definitely isn't their constituents, so who are they in the pockets of?
Once again, I don't consider myself either red or blue. I don't buy the spin coming from either camp. If guns are an issue, you are better off practicing with 5 rounds at a time and learning how to hit something than you are spraying 30 rounds all over hitting nothing.
So Leon, it would appear that you have bought it hook line and sinker. Speaking of lines, hope you don't get tangled, little puppet

Show your true colors there Marty. Impressive!
Yes they compromised within their own party because they couldn't get their ultimate goal which was single payer. And don't forget how your lefties, and you are one whether you admit it or not, got kicked out of office after this whole healthcare thing. The republicans weren't put back in charge of the house to make deals with a bunch of socialist leaning democrats.
Let me tell you one thing that you can take to the bank. I trust no politician!
I changed my party affiliation from independent to republican so I could have my vote in primaries. 90% of my voting was done as an independent. Your talk of dancing on a string is out of ignorance.

Ok Leon, I might be jumping to conclusions about your wants and desires for what you would like to see our country become or return to. Enlighten me. Other than that, you appear to be situated somewhere between a Tea Party leaner and an anarchist, by your responses.

Marty, there is no way to "enlighten" you when you don't have a basic understanding of rights and liberty. I am the polar opposite of an anarchist. Just because I know men don't grant us our rights doesn't mean I wish for a lawless society.

I have a basic understanding of when someone is yanking my chain for no reason, so what do you say we just agree to disagree and both stop?
We all get it that you feel your rights are being infringed on by the ACA. Why don't you go ahead and stand on your soapbox and leave me out of it? I'll be happy to do likewise. So just stop quoting me and say your piece without getting me involved. That way I can more easily ignore you.
Thanks

Just replying to you and your post Marty. If you can't take the heat.....
Edit to add. I don't "feel" it infringes on my rights. I THINK it does, there is a big difference between the two.
