I usually pitch my niches about 1/8 inch. It doesn't surprise me that water is still under the bottles after 10 hours. Sitting on the shower floor, there's probably water under them there too after 10 hours. Is the rest of the shower drying out after 10 hours? I'd make sure and leave the shower door open when not in use.

Maybe some Rain-X on the shelf so the water runs off. Don't know about compatibility with materials in your shower though. They have stuff specifically for use on shower doors so it couldn't be too bad for regular shower materials.

There's also more permanent hydrophobic treatments that will completely repel water from the surface.

Degree of pitch

Thanks Davy
What's an 1/8 inch converted to degree of angle? I tried a conversion calculator and got 22.5. Could that possibly be right?

If the niche is 3.5" deep, and 1/8" is the fall, then arctan(1/8/3.5) = 2 degrees.
