Cool shower, Roberto. At least I think it's a shower... I couldn't find the drain.

Thanks Jim . Yeah , I know , I couldn't decide how the finished drain will look , yet . Either I will continue the linear mosaic on the Schluter drain or I will order some SS custom design one .

It also runs thru my mind to turn the linear mosaics perpendicular to the ones already installed on the shower floor . 3 rows of the linear mosaic will complete perfectly the width of the Schluter drain .

Here is the '' unfinished '' drain -- shower floor -- .....

Hi Mark, this bench really caught my eye. Can you tell me about the tile behind the bench?

Your work never ceases to amaze, Mark!

I gotta ask though, do you work with anything OTHER than carerra marble?

Nice book matching Mark.

Roberto, what about the white tile for the drain, might match the them of the seat area

Jim , I decided to go with a custom SS chromed linear grate .

Maybe later I will use the tile grate from the kit and the linear mosaic . I had a rusting dot on the original grate , so I just put it aside for now .

Is it me, or do customers really, REALLY like brown/tan/beige tile? I see all this great, detailed, intricate work you guys are doing, but so, so much of it is brown. Do none of your clients like color?

BTW this is a great thread. I've got a design in my head for a simple bench in a shower, but there is a drawer inside the bench. The drawer is accessed from outside the shower (obviously I hope) to add more storage to a
space-challenged bathroom.

Drawer in the bench accessed outside the shower, sounds cool you got a pic a that? Yes earthy tones as they call them are very popular these days in tile and grouts

Greg, very nice design. You gonna test the glass man on that one!

Jon, yes that was an improvement. I'm glad you can do this for a friend, I'm sure she will appreciate that for many years to come.

On the bench - I do not like corner triangle benches, to me they need to be so long across the face to keep from wedging your rear back in the corner.

I also do not like the 'square box' bench, where the face of the bench goes straight down. I find that comfortably sitting there your heels will bang against the wall. On most of my benches I will recess that wall under the bench several inches just to give that some relief. More work, I know, but sure improves the looks.

So a bench, on the back wall, with a glass door, would reach all the way out to the curb. How does that work with a curtain?

So I made the bench several inches short of the curb for the curtain to slip back between the bench and the curb. Now so it's not just a slot back there, I clipped the corner and sloped the underside.

I have a customer that wants a rectangular floating bench where it attaches to the back wall and one side wall only. What are your ideas for supporting the non-supported corner?

edit: Like this one from the first page. With steel I'm concerned about it rusting.
