Hi, Josh.

If you can shorten up the span, even by as little as a foot and a half, your joists will meet deflection requirements.

Also, you mentioned re-glazing a tub and tearing walls down to studs...those two rarely go together. Do you know that a re-glazing is a relatively temporary effort to get another 5-7 years out of a tub? If you're tearing down to the studs, I'd suggest considering upgrading to a new tub that will last for several decades.
