Laundry Room - Floor Issue/Toilet Issue for Tiling
TOTALLY NEW TO HOMEOWNERSHIP, TILING, ETC.
I bought a home. It had some cheap laminate flooring that I started to rip as we decided to renovate the laundry room. The flooring appears to be old, beat up, uneven (unleveled), wooden planks. We were hoping to install new ceramic tiles.
I've added a photo.
Question 1
Do I rip the wood out and replace with plywood, then throw the cement board, and then the tiles?
Question 2
Theres a poorly placed toilet in the laundry room. How do I remove it, seal it, and place the new floor over it - as if it were never there?
Thanks in advance.
